Most of us walk up in the morning and practice routine personal hygiene. We wash our face. Brush our teeth. We eat breakfast on dishes that have been rinsed of yesterday’s meals. We sweep and mop our kitchen floors and disinfect our bathrooms to keep harmful bacteria at bay.
However, few of us take time to consider daily brain hygiene in our routines. Even though we rely on our brains for every memory and movement, when we’re establishing healthy rituals to prevent disease and improve our overall health, we sometimes forget the most complex organ in the body requires routine maintenance too.
